Monthly 1BR Extended Stay | Cleveland Clinic Campus, CLE

An extended stay 1 bedroom apartment by Cleveland Clinic's main campus in Fairfax, Cleveland, furnished for the kind of month that reads more like living somewhere than staying somewhere. A grocery store downstairs, a garage space, a desk and a walk-in closet.

The space
Over weeks rather than nights, storage and a working kitchen are what decide whether a place holds up. The bedroom holds a queen bed, blackout roller blinds and a ceiling fan, with the closet deep enough to unpack into properly. The kitchen has quartz counters, full-size stainless appliances and enough counter to cook properly instead of assembling something. A kitchen island table with bar stools takes meals and doubles as a desk, and there is a second desk in the living room. The sofa opens into a queen bed for anyone who visits partway through. Hardwood floors and oversized windows run through the common areas, and the bathroom is a full bath with a glass-door shower.

The neighborhood
Fairfax rewards a long stay more than a short one. Meijer Fairfax Market downstairs is a full grocery with a coffee shop and a gift shop, which is the difference between cooking and ordering in for the fifth night running. The main campus is across the street, close enough to make a weekday appointment a short errand. Case Western Reserve University sits two minutes away by car, University Hospitals five. Ohio City is eleven minutes and downtown twelve when you want a Saturday somewhere else, and Little Italy at six is worth more than one trip.
